Build readers with News related Content and Comments

Vouliagmeni, February 18, 2009 – by Yorgo Nestoridis, BlogMasterClass.com

My two articles:”Facebook modern Gangsterism” and “Facebook Auschwitz or Holocaust” have triggered some interesting comments and attracted new readers to my blogs.

Comments:

In fact the method is simple: follow the news on TV or online and comment on a topic interesting you by publishing an article. The longer the more people scan the Internet using keyword related news alerts (such as Google alerts), to find your site.

I have met today Tristan Benz, who was leaving an interesting comment on my platform: I said, an interesting comment. Her comment triggered my curiosity and caused me to click on her link and to have a look at her blog (she just got a new visitor to her blog).

The website I found there is at my taste: Content focused and the first thing you notice is Tristan’s picture (at least I assume it’s her picture):

As you can see, it does not need to be a professional picture featuring your stiff attitude in a Sunday dress :-). But it should be a picture creating a positive first impression and may be empathy. A nice example!

Tristan’s blog has this personal touch readers like!

Google Impact

When ever I post an article, I monitor the impact on Google: how fast does it pop up under the keywords chosen. An easy way to monitor is by searching Google using your Post Slug and then widening to see how far your publishing power reaches.

My first article was about 10 minutes later available on Google through Tradeonlineauctions.com, where Alejandra Neri syndicates some of my posts as well as through dublicatorteam.com by Laetitia Paris. A few minutes later, YORGOO Publishing was catching up with some other friend’s blogs.

Action and Reaction

The above example illustrates how you can attract visitors to your site: first by publishing content with a high degree of visibility, and then by leaving interesting comments which create Backlinks and as the case may be visitors to your blog.

How much more fun and rewarding is this than to hang out on Facebook!
