What better way to spend a Saturday than burning up tires and brake pads at a road course?!
Recently, editors at the giant mega corp. magazine company we all work for received an e-mail. In that e-mail, Spectre invited all the editors from various magazines to bring their American musclecars out to the track. For that matter, any American musclecar was invited to run the road course, whether they were owned by an editor or a local resident. The only problem was they had a pre-1975 cutoff. Damn, there goes my hope and dreams of running my ‘88 IROC-Z.

In a race that used to be called the “Firecracker 400,” Ford’s Carl Edwards and Toyota’s Kyle Busch gave fans a fireworks show of their own, battling side-by-side for the lead on the final lap when a wreck involving several cars behind them caused the caution flag to come out, ending the race before the two got to the finish line.
